Reading the Genesis creation story as wisdom literature enables us to see how it teaches effective, morally good action in the midst of changing, sometimes chaotic circumstances. The story draws our attention to three paradigmatic activities, working, thinking, and loving, that enable human beings to collaborate wisely with God.
