Why WhereIsWisdom.Today ?
Wisdom teaches everything necessary for a good life: love, awe for greatness, honest speech, the virtues, managing relationships and resources, respecting others’ strengths and weaknesses, and skills to produce valuable goods.
Wisdom cuts across all cultures and religions. It speaks to our common humanity and enables people of every culture to speak to people of every other culture. It urges the willingness to do so.
I am a Catholic theologian, so I search the Catholic intellectual tradition for wisdom about today’s questions, trusting that its wisdom will speak to that of other traditions.
But wisdom is hard to find and practice. This site is part of my effort to respond wisely to the difficult questions of our day.
